Ruth Ferguson, 80, of Indianapolis died peacefully on February 5th at 9:50pm. She was born July 13, 1936 to William and Patia Cohen Vogus in Martinsville, Indiana. She was a 1954 graduate of Martinsville High School and  was an independent career  woman long before it was the norm.She had previously worked as a secretary for Indiana State Police and USAir before retiring

 Ruth enjoyed fishing and camping in northern Minnesota and Canada and all things nature related. She was an avid gardener and birdwatcher and enjoyed living on Cordry Lake in Brown County for many years.

She is survived by a loving extended family who will miss her dearly. Burial will be in Acton cemetery
